So why am I hangin it up...

I have had several emails and IMs from all of you out there as to why Im closing the doors on my shops!

It's pretty simple really... I have been designing for a while and I absolutely love it! I have cried and cried over my decision because I have to let go of one of my true passions and comforts in my life! Unfortunately, the economy in the USA, just isn't great! My DH had a severe blow back in the beginning of the year when he was thrown from his horse and we didn't know if he was going to be able function properly let alone work like he used to. See my DH is a contract laborer, if he doesn't have a job he doesn't work! He has no sick pay, he has no 401K, he has no insurance, and well times have been seriously tough since all this happened!

Now, I chose to be a SAHM late last year when I was hurt on the job and couldn't do my normal job anymore. I did this for 2 reasons, 1. I wanted to be home with my 4 yr old until he went to school, and 2nd because my older son is ADHD and has an onset of Bipolar and a Conduct disorder. He needs alot of special attention and with me being at home at all times I could cater to his needs better and without having to bother anyone else!

Now that my eldest is knee deep into middle school, I have had a heck of a time trying to cope with the behavioral issues with him. I have gone round and round with the school trying to get him into special needs class for social skills and small controlled groups rather then with a large unstructured environment!

So being a designer has given me the freedom to do these things but alas it doesn't make up for what I made when I was employed outside the home! It has been a major struggle lately to just keep up with the regular bills and necessities the we as a family need! So I have been contemplating this decision for a while but in recent events that have taken place in my home have decided to attempt to put designing down for a while and focus on getting job outside the home to help with costs.

I dont want, by no means, to do this... but sometimes you have to bite the bullet!

I want to show my DH that it is possible to do something you love and make a decent income from it! That's where I need your help... I want to continue to design and I want the encouragement to do so! But I also have to prove myself to my DH.

So with that said I will be closing my doors to all my shops as soon as I find a outside job. Make sure you grab all my goodies because once they are GONE they will be GONE forever! When I do come back it will be with new products!

Big News!

SO most of you all know there are alot of changes for me going on right now! I have decided to leave SOTB and at one time I was going to leave Digital Candy but that has been put on hold pending other issues!

Well with new beginnings and a new year I have decided to take on a BRAND spanking NEW STORE! Enchanted Studio Scraps! Im so excited and it officially opens its doors tomorrow! Now there has been lots of planning and goings on behind the scenes, and I believe you all will be pleasantly surprised with all the whimsy and enchantment going on!

A little bit of good news and some bad!

Well I have some really good news but I cant share it quite yet!

So whats being going on? Well of course you know its Friday and well I have my new releases to share with you but the freebie wont be up till tomorrow! I have ran into a snag with my computer and it took all the energy out of me today re-installing all my programs because again I had to get another tower! Now I have a slimline which is really small! Its about the size of a textbook! Well the last one I got had Vista on it and well the high graphics I was running didnt like that computer and the graphics card would completely shut the whole system down with no warning at all! So I got sick of it and took it back!

So I have decided to go tagger size as an extra option to broaden my customer base! You can now purchase my kits in tagger size HERE. Go check it out! I am still putting my products up and well converting them takes some time but its getting there.

hmmm... well I am now a SAHM which is working well for us so far! I am glad I decided to resign from my job because after my recent occupational injury, things at work were just not the same! It seems when you get hurt and you are on restricted duty, people tend to shun you! Is this fair? Well life isnt fair but you didnt ask to get hurt! At least I didnt! But God works in mysterious ways! And he knew that I was miserable in the awful job! So kudos to God!

Xander is doing better. He apparently was cutting a molar! Now I have 2 kids and I dont think that my oldest ever threw up when he was cutting a tooth but Xander said several times that his tooth hurt! He doesnt have any cavities so it has to be that he is cutting a tooth! That explains the fever but not the vomiting!

I have a huge to do list and some upcoming exciting news! I am working a pair of kits again. A set for the lil ones! Maybe tomorrow Ill put up a peek, if I every get done with all the resizing and preview making I have to do!

Yep it a long list and that doesnt include housework!

Well it is late or should I say early! LOL it's 5 AM and I still not in bed! Oh this isnt good! Alright ya'll gotta go!

What's UP?

Well as my 2 almost 3 year old would say "the clouds"! ROFL Yeah I'm in the clouds right now! It feels as tho my head is so foggy! Im trying to do physical therapy, work 40 hrs a week, conduct my graphics design business, and take care of an ill 2 yr old! It's been such a blur because everything happens so fast that I dont get time to sit down and breath! And you tell me how Im supposed to heal properly! Well I skipped PT this morning because Xander was just not having it! He is running a temp and has been since Saturday! Not mention the other stuff he is doing! I finally got him up and dressed, called the doctor and got an appointment for this afternoon! Whew! The doctor says that we just have to wait it out but there is nothing seriously wrong with him but, he is probably carrying a virus! YAY! Thats just what I wanted to hear! Not quite! It upset me so bad when I tried to get him dressed and the poor baby couldn't stand up on his own two feet!

Yada Yada Yada! Im sure Im boring you so on to the goodies!

I put my second grab bag in the store and its packed full of fun stuff!

Yep that's my Husband! ROFL... He looks like a farmer, but we don't live on a farm! He loves to give that impression tho! I will say this tho... he can fix just about anything! But I can never really get any pictures of him that are decent! He is either sticking his tongue out or doing something weird all the time! I guess it's because his mother is a photographer and all she did was take lots of pictures and he got tired of it! Now I have to deal with it! Oh well, thats it for me tonight! Neway... I had a rough night at work and I am super tired! I have to get my kiddo ready for school! Oh and my 2 yr old fell off the bed a minute ago and got a nose bleed! Ugh! So my morning is not going well either!

I've always wanted to take a picture everyday for a year! And well I try, but I always miss days and then it messes everything up! So I am personally challenging myself to take a picture everyday for 365 starting officially now!

So I have very expensive camera... but I have to capture alot of frames before I get just the right picture because my kids are so active!

So I thought I would share not one picture but 2 today! And I couldn't resist with these 2!

This is my younger sister and my little one! So Cute!

And remember what I said about trying to get a good pic because my kids are so active! (and I have an action shot on my camera) Neway this is my HAM of a son Noah! And it is blurry... I know but I couldn't help but share the fun of it!

Gosh I am such a bad blogger! Now I dont like to express my feelings to often and well voicing my opinions gets me into trouble! So yeah I dont blog much!
